The Chargers lost WR Vincent Brown during the preseason after he suffered a broken ankle. Brown was subsequently placed on IR with the designation to return and he’s now eligible to play this weekend.
Head coach Norv Turner mentioned that he’s not ready to return just yet, but could be back in the coming weeks.
“[Brown] is continuing through his rehab and I think he is making good progress,” said Turner, via CBS Sports. “He is in the middle of rehab. So, what he is able to do, we will find out probably in the next month.”
Before he was injured, Brown looked to be blossoming into a very solid receiver, so his return would definitely be a welcomed addition. He’ll have to fight for playing time now that the Chargers have been using Robert Meachem and Eddie Royal, but that may not be too hard.
