Chargers Sign Second-Round TE Hunter Henry To A Four-Year Deal

The San Diego Chargers announced Thursday that they have agreed to terms with second-round TE Hunter Henry.

This leaves first-round DE Joey Bosa and third-round C Max Tuerk as the only Chargers’ draft picks who have yet to sign their rookie contracts.

Henry, 21, was taken with the No. 35 overall pick by the Chargers. Henry was widely considered to be the best tight end in this year’s draft class, and will give the Chargers a long-term replacement to Antonio Gates when he’s ready to call it a career.

According to OverTheCap.com, Henry receives a four-year contract worth $6,380,308 to go along with a signing bonus of $2,840,224.

During his three-year career at Arkansas, Henry 116 receptions for 1,661 yards receiving and nine touchdowns.
