Charles Johnson Agrees To Re-sign With Carolina For $76 Million

Profootballtalk.com reports that the Carolina Panthers have agreed to re-sign DE Charles Johnson to a six-year, $76 million contract, which includes a $30 million signing bonus.

This is an unbelievable contract for Johnson who wee had listed as the No. 13 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.

Panther GM Marty Hurney actually flew down to Miami today to get this deal done which shows the kind of priority he was to their team.

Both the Broncos and the Falcons contacted Johnson but obviously lost out to the Panthers.

Now that the first big name is off of the board the dominoes could be steadily falling from here on.
