Charles Tillman Returning To The Bears Next Season?

Impending free agent CB Charles Tillman indicated via his Twitter account Friday that he could be back with the Bears next season.

Tillman is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months, and many have assumed that they Bears were likely to get younger at cornerback and move on without Tillman.

However, it sounds like the news Bears regime could be open to retaining him for another season.

New head coach John Fox told reporters during his introductory press conference that they planned to reach out to long-time MLB Brian Urlacher this offseason and make things right, so there appears to be a concerted effort to show more respect to the team’s veteran contributors moving forward.

Tillman, 34 in February, unfortunately suffered a torn triceps back in September and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.

He finished the 2014 season with eight tackles and a pass defense over the course of two games.

We’ll have more updates regarding Tillman and the Bears as the news is available.
