Chester Taylor’s Options If Cut

The Chicago Bears are reported to be shopping RB Chester Taylor but are believed to be willing to cut him if they’re unable to find any takers.

Adam Caplan of Fox Sports takes a look at the possible market for his services upon being released. Caplan lists the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans as some speculative options.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic see’s Taylor as an “intriguing” option for the Cardinals.

Jacksonville would only be interested in Rashad Jennings‘s injury is bad enough to cost him games.

The Titans are in negotiations with Chris Johnson so if that deal gets done, you can cross them off of the list.

Minnesota is a possibility as he was a great compliment to Adrian Peterson a few years back and Toby Gerhart has yet to solidify the backup running back position.

I would add the Detroit Lions to this speculative list. Jerome Harrison has looked pretty good during the preseason but both he and Jahvid Best are injury prone which could open the door for a guy like Taylor who gives them more of a physical presence than either one of their current running backs brings to the table.
