Chiefs Claim DT David King Off Waivers, Place TE James O’Shaughnessy On I.R.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve claimed DT David King off of waivers from the Seahawks on Tuesday.

O’Shaughnessy, 23, was taken in the fifth round of this year’s NFL draft. He’s in the first year of his four-year, $2.473 million rookie contract that included a $166,252 signing bonus.

O’Shaughnessy will make base salaries of $435,000 (2015), $525,000 (2016), $615,000 (2017), and $705,000 (2018) over the remainder of the agreement.

This season, O’Shaughnessy caught six passes for 87 yards receiving and no touchdowns over the course of seven games.
