Chiefs Sign TE Demetrius Harris To Three-Year, $6.3M Extension

Buddy Baker, the agent for Chiefs TE Demetrius Harris. announced that they have officially reached an agreement on a contract extension with Kansas City.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Harris’ new deal is a three-year extension worth up to $6.3 million.

Jason La Canfora reports that the Chiefs are closing in on a contract extension with TE Demetrius Harris.

La Canfora adds that an agreement could be in place by the time they play this weekend.

Harris, 24, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Milwaukee back in 2013. He’s in line to be an exclusive rights free agent in the coming months.

Harris was a college basketball player with a football background, who has made the transition to the NFL rather well.

In 2015, Harris has appeared in 16 games and recorded seven receptions for 74 yards receiving and a touchdown for the Chiefs.
