Chiefs Cut WR Junior Hemingway From I.R. & Add LB Josh Martin

The Kansas City Chiefs have removed WR Junior Hemingway from their injured reserve list on Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.

  • The Chiefs also placed LB Josh Martin on season-ending injured reserve after he cleared waivers.

Hemingway, 26, is a former seventh round pick of the Chiefs back in 2012. He spent the first three years on and off of the team’s practice squad before he was released a week ago, as they began cutting their roster down 75 players.

Because Hemingway wasn’t claimed off of waivers, he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.

In 2014, Hemingway appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs and caught 12 passes for 108 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
