Chiefs DB Keith Baxter Passes Through Waivers, Reverts To Injured Reserve

The Kansas Chiefs officially placed DB Keith Baxter on injured reserve after clearing waivers on Sunday.

Baxter, 25, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall. Unfortunately, he was waived at the start of the preseason.

It wasn’t until October that the Packers added him to their practice squad. Green Bay cut him loose in January and he later signed on with the Chiefs a few months ago. Unfortunately, K.C. waived him with an injury designation Saturday.

During his four-year college career, Baxter recorded 67 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery, three interceptions and eight pass defenses.
