  • Tom Pelissero reports that the Chiefs also have Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer on their radar.

Ian Rapoport reports that Chiefs owner Clark Hunt is expected to interview top in-house candidate Brett Veach for their GM vacancy this week.

Veach is the team’s co-director of player personnel and has been a popular name connected to the Chiefs’ position since they fired John Dorsey last week.

The Bills actually showed interest in Veach shortly after they moved on from Doug Whaley, but they elected to go in a different direction.

The Chiefs are expected to move quickly to line up interviews with potential candidates for the job, so you can expect to hear more names connected to the position in the coming days.

Another internal candidate worth watching for the Chiefs’ job is Mike Borgonzi.

We’ll have more regarding the Chiefs’ GM search as the news is available.
