Chiefs & Jets Have Visits Lined Up With WR Rod Streater

Terez A. Paylor reports that it’s still possible the Chiefs could sign free agent WR Rod Streater to a contract.

  • According to Paylor, Streater plans to meet with the Chiefs after his visit concludes with the Jets.
  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter previously reported that Streater visited with the Patriots.

Manish Mehta is reporting that free agent WR Rod Streater is visiting the Jets on Friday.

This comes after Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reported that Streater is may be planning some visits to some East Coast teams. According to Paylor, the Chiefs have expressed interest in him.

Streater, 28, wound up signing on with the Raiders as undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2012. He’s spent all four of his years in Oakland and is now an urestricted free agent.

In 2015, Streater appeared in one game and recorded a single reception for eight yards receiving and no touchdowns.

  1. Sad that he was left virtually unused last season. I’ll root for Rod wherever he goes, even if it’s within the AFC West.
