The Kansas City Chiefs’ website writes that the team will be employing a “running back by committee” now that Jamaal Charles has been lost for the season with a torn ACL.
Chiefs coach Todd Haley said that Dexter McCluster is likely to receive 10-14 touches in this weekends game, via Arrowhead Pride.
Thomas Jones figures to his playing time increase as well but McCluster very well could take over the starting job depending on how effective is in in week 3. Le’Ron McClain, and Jackie Battle could also find themselves being used at different points in the game depending on the effectiveness of Thomas and McCluster.
