Chiefs OL Donald Stephenson Suspended Four Games

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Friday that veteran OL Donald Stephenson has been suspended four games for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

Statement from the team:

“This morning the NFL notified the team of Donald Stephenson’s four-game suspension. Obviously losing Donald is disappointing, but we are in full compliance with the league’s policy. We will have no further comment on the situation.”

Statement provided by Stephenson’s agent, Ken Sarnoff.

The Chiefs have Stephenson listed as their starting right tackle, so this is obviously bad news for their offensive line unit as they prepare for the start of the regular. Kansas City is likely to go with veteran OT Ryan Harris, whom they signed to contract in late July, for the time being.

Stephenson has appeared in all 32 games since the Chiefs used a third-round pick on him back in 2012.
