Chiefs Making “Strong Push” To Re-Sign C Rodney Hudson

Jason La Canfora reports that the Chiefs are making a “strong push” to re-sign free agent C Rodney Hudson.

However, La Canfora isn’t sure if they’ll be able to pull it off given that there are a number of teams interested in pursuing Hudson.

La Canfora previously said that he expects Hudson to ultimately end up with a contract that would pay him $7 million per year, and he is hearing that the Raiders are “looking hard at him.”

Kansas Cit isn’t in the greatest financial position right now, even though they have made some roster moves in recent days and could always release WR Dwayne Bowe for more cap savings.

Hudson, 25, finished out his four-year, $3,506,100 rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent this March.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 3 center in the league out of 41 qualifying players with solid rating across the board. We have Hudson listed as the No. 18 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
