Chiefs Officially Hire Greg Lewis As WRs Coach

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that they’ve hired Greg Lewis as their wide receivers coach.

I’m very familiar with Greg, both as a player and a coach,” Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said. “He’s played the game, he understands our system and the kind of production we expect out of our wide receivers. He’s taking over a talented group of guys and I know he is looking forward to the challenge of helping them and our team continue to grow.”

Lewis replaces David Culley as the Chiefs WRs coach after he departed to become the next QBs coach for the Buffalo Bills.

Lewis, 36, actually spent several years as a receiver in Reid’s offense while they were both in Philadelphia. He began his coaching career in 2012 and has worked for the Saints and Eagles as an offensive assistant and a WRs coach respectively.
