Chiefs Place C Jordan Devey & LB Terrance Smith On IR, Promote Two

The Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves on Tuesday including placing C Jordan Devey and LB Terrance Smith on injured reserve.

Other roster moves for the Chiefs include:

  • Chiefs promoted C James Murray and TE Deon Yelder to their active roster.
  • Chiefs signed OT Pace Murphy and LB Raymond Davison to their practice squad.

Devey, 30, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Memphis back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Baltimore before he was cut loose at the start of the 2013 season.

Devey had brief stints with the Patriots and 49ers before he was claimed off of waivers in 2016. He has spent the past two years in Kansas City before returning to the Chiefs on a new deal this past March.

In 2018, Devey appeared in seven games for the Chiefs.
