Chiefs Place DT Jaye Howard On Injured Reserve

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Chiefs have placed DT Jaye Howard on injured reserve Thursday.

The Chiefs have already confirmed the news:

Howard, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He’s currently in the first year of his two-year, $10 million contract that includes $8.26 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $760,000 and $3.7 million over the next two years.

In 2016, Howard has recorded 24 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble for the Chiefs over the course of eight games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 53 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.
