The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that they’ve placed G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and DB Armani Watts on injured reserve and re-signed OLB Frank Zombo.

  • The Chiefs also placed LB Robert McCray on the practice squad injured list.

Duvernay-Tardif, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2014. He was entering the final year of his rookie contract when he agreed to a six-year, $41.94 million extension that includes $14 million guaranteed.

Duvernay-Tardif stands to make base salaries of $3.31 million and $6.203 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Duvernay-Tardif has appeared in five games for the Chiefs.
