Chiefs Place OT Paul Fanaika On I.R. & Re-Sign OLB Dezman Moses

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve placed OT Paul Fanaika on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday.

  • The Chiefs also announced that they’ve re-signed OLB Dezman Moses.

Fanaika, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back 2009. However, he lasted just a few months with the team before joining the Redskins, Browns, Seahawks, and Cardinals.

Kansas City signed Fanaika to a three-year deal worth $8.1 million back in March.

Last year, he appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals and rates as the No. 71 guard out of 78 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.

Moses, 26, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 2012. Green Bay waived Moses after a year and half, but the Chiefs wound up claiming him off waivers.

The Chiefs cut him loose just a few days ago.

Moses didn’t appear in a single game last year, but he saw some action during the 2013 season. That season, Mosese recorded six tackles over the course of 13 games.
