Chiefs Place WR Chris Conley On IR, Promote WR Marcus Kemp

The Kansas City Chiefs placed WR Chris Conley on their injured reserve and promoted WR Marcus Kemp from their practice squad to the active roster.

Conley recovered an onside kick and replays showed something pop in his calf. MRI tests confirmed that he sustained an Achilles injury.

Conley, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.123 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the next years of the agreement.

In 2017, Conley appeared in four games and caught eight passes for 129 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
