The Kansas City Chiefs announced that DL Chris Jones had his knee scoped a few weeks ago and will open training camp on the team’s PUP list.
- The Chiefs will also place Parker Ehinger and Dadi Nicolas on the PUP list.
Jones, 23, is a former second-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $6.231 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $916,476 and $1.19 million over the next two years.
In 2016, Jones appeared in all 16 games and recorded 29 tackles, two sacks, and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 interior defender out of 126 qualifying players.
