Chiefs Placing LB Reggie Ragland On NFI List

According to Adam Teicher, the Chiefs will place LB Reggie Ragland on the non-football injury list to open training camp due to swelling in his knee.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid was unclear about Ragland’s timetable of recovery.

It could be a few days, a week, two weeks. When it calms down, he’ll be back out there,” said Reid.

Ragland, 24, was taken with the No. 41 overall pick by the Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was currently in the second year of his four-year rookie contract when Buffalo traded him to the Chiefs in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round pick.

Ragland wound up missing the entire 2016season  after he suffered a torn ACL during the preseason and was eventually placed on injured reserve.

In 2017, Ragland appeared in 12 games for the Chiefs and recorded 44 total tackles and no other statistics.
