Chiefs Have QB Aaron Murray Available For Trade

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs have made it known that backup QB Aaron Murray is available via trade.

  • Rapoport adds that Murray is a low-cost option at quarterback for teams to consider.

The Chiefs are clearly open to trade talks, as a report from last night mentioned that they also have RB Khile Davis on the trading block as well. (NFLTR)

Murray, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,402,424 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Murray would free up $562,894 in available cap space while creating $91,212 in dead money.

Murray has yet to appear in an NFL game.
