Chiefs QB Matt Cassel’s Broken Hand Fully Recovered

Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel mentioned that he’s fully recovered after he suffered a fracture to his throwing hand last season.

I feel great, I’m ready to roll,” Cassel said, via the Springfield News-Leader. “I feel like our team will come out stronger. We suffered through a lot of injuries last year to some key people but they should be coming back stronger and the coaches are very optimistic.

Losing Cassel really hurt their offense last year, as they were forced to play Tyler Palko for a number of games before claiming Kyle Orton off of waivers. Even with Cassel, the team’s offense was struggling, so he’s certainly entering a make or break season with the Chiefs. Cassel is set to make  $7.5 million next season and another $9 million in 2014, so an unproductive season could result in him being released.
