Chiefs Have RB Knile Davis Available For Trade

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Chiefs RB Knile Davis is also among the players on the trading block ahead of tomorrow’s deadline to cut rosters down to 75 players.

This should come as no surprise, considering that Davis has been on the trading block for several months now. However, there haven’t been takers up to this point.

Davis, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2013. He’s in the final year if his four-year, $2.751 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Davis would free up $700,000 in available cap space while creating $126,504 in dead money.

In 2015, Davis appeared in 14 games and ran for 72 yards on 28 carries (2.6 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 24 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 603 kick return yards.
