Chiefs Re-Sign DL Jarvis Jenkins To One-Year Deal

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed DL Jarvis Jenkins on Wednesday, according to his agency.

Jenkins, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2011. He spent three years in Washington before later signing on with the Bears in 2015.

The Jets gave him two-year, $7 million contract this in March of last year but they elected to cut him loose in November. The Chiefs later signed him to a contract and he finished out the year in K.C. before testing the free agent market this offseason.

In 2016, Jenkins appeared in all 16 games between the Jets and Chiefs and recorded 14 tackles and no sacks. He played a total of 266 snaps last year, according to Pro Football Focus.
