Chiefs Re-Sign WR Jordan Smallwood, Waive WR Davon Grayson

The Kansas City Chiefs officially re-signed WR Jordan Smallwood to a contract on Wednesday and released WR Davon Grayson with an injury waiver.

Smallwood wound up signing on with the Chiefs following this year’s draft after he went undrafted out of Oklahoma. Unfortunately, the Chiefs waived him a few weeks later to make room for Grayson.

During this four-year college career at Oklahoma, Smallwood caught 18 passes for 170 yards receiving and one touchdown to go along with four rushing attempts for 16 and two scores over the course of 21 games.

Grayson wound up going undrafted out of East Carolina a few weeks ago. He tried out for the Titans soon after but wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.

The Chiefs signed Grayson to a contract a week later.

During his four-year college career at East Carolina, Grayson caught 135 passes for 1,767 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns over the course of 37 games.
