Chiefs Ready To Start Kyle Orton This Weekend?

Yesterday we posted a report that suggested that Kansas City Chiefs interim head coach Romeo Crennel would consider playing rookie QB Ricky Stanzi this weekend. Today Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports that Crennel told reports that Kyle Orton (finger) will get the start against the Packers if his finger isn’t giving trouble.

If Orton isn’t able to play this weekend then Ricky Stanzi could get the start but it appears that Orton will make his first start for the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. The Chiefs passing game has been miserable with Tyler Palko under center so it’s hard to imagine that either Orton or Stanzi could be any worse.
