Chiefs Release CB Josh Hawkins From P-Squad

The Kansas City Chiefs officially released CB Josh Hawkins from their practice squad on Saturday.

Here’s the Chiefs updated practice squad:

  1. WR Josh Crockett
  2. OT Ryan Hunter
  3. QB Chase Litton
  4. LB Rob McCray (Injured)
  5. DB D’Montre Wade
  6. DT Joey Ivie
  7. TE David Wells
  8. DB Leon McQuay
  9. LB Raymond Davison
  10. OT Pace Murphy

Hawkins, 25, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina back in 2016. He managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two seasons in Green Bay, but was among their final roster cuts this preseason.

After a brief stint on the Panthers’ practice squad, Hawkins signed on to the Chiefs’ taxi squad a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Hawkins appeared in five games for the Panthers, but has yet to record a statistic.
