Chiefs Release WR Steve Breaston & TE Kevin Boss

The Kansas City Chiefs cut WR Steve Breaston and TE Kevin Boss on Tuesday.

Breaston, 29, signed a five-year deal worth $22.55 million back in 2011. He was coming off of a great season for the Cardinals, but wasn’t able to replicate that kind of production with the Chiefs. In fact, he was a healthy scratch numerous times this season.  Breaston tallied 255 receptions for 3,387 yards and nine TDs while he was a member of the Chiefs.

Boss, 29, received a three-year deal worth $9 million deal from Kansas City last year and totaled three receptions for 65 yards and one TD, before ending up on injured reserve with a head injury.
