Chiefs Releasing DL Vance Walker, Free Up $1.75M In Cap Space

The Kansas City Chiefs are releasing veteran DL Vance Walker on Friday, according to his agent Chad Speck.

Walker, 27, signed Walker to a three-year, $13 million contract with the Chiefs back in March of last year. He was set to make a base salary of $2,700,000 for the upcoming season.

According to OverThecap.com, the Chiefs will free up $1.75 million in cap space while creating $2 million in dead money from this move.

In 2014, he appeared in all 16 games and recorded 17 tackles and two sacks for the Chiefs.
