Chiefs Remove RB Jamaal Charles From PUP List

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Tuesday that RB Jamaal Charles is being removed from PUP list and he will begin practicing on a limited basis today.

Charles, 29, is in the third year of his four-year, $28 million contract that included $8.3 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $2.75 million (2016), and $3.75 million (2017) over the remainder of the contract.

Charles’ 2015 season ended with him rushing for 364 yards on 71 carries (5.1 YPC) to go along with 21 receptions for 177 yards receiving and five total touchdowns over the course of five games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 running back out of 69 qualifying players.
