Chiefs Sign OL Jah Reid To Three-Year, $11.371M Extension

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Chiefs have signed OL Jah Reid to a three-year contract extension on Thursday.

  • Wilson reports that Reid’s new three-year extension is worth $11.371 million, and includes a $3.1 million signing bonus with $3.96 million in total guarantees.
  • Reid will have cap figures of $1.9 million (2016), $1.825 million (2017), $3.625 million (2018), and $3.975 million (2019).

Reid, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. He has played out his four-year, rookie contract with the team before testing the free agent market this past offseason.

The Ravens elected to bring him back on a one-year, $745,000 contract. However, he was among their final roster cuts at the start of the season.

The Chiefs signed him to a contract just a few days later to bolster their offensive line depth.

This season, Reid has appeared in eight games for the Chiefs and rates as the No. 59 offensive tackle out of 76 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.
