Chiefs Sign OLB Victor Ochi Off Jets’ Practice Squad

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Chiefs have signed OLB Victor Ochi off of the Jets’ practice squad on Tuesday.

Ochi, 23, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of stony Brook back in May. He was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason, as the Ravens’ trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

The Jets later signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season and he’s on and off of the unit since.

In 2016, Ochi has been active for two games and recorded one tackle.

During his career at Stony Brook, Ochi recorded 135 tackles, 19.5 sacks, 34 tackles for a loss and three forced fumbles over the course of 35 games played.
