Chiefs To Sign OT Mitchell Schwartz

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs have agreed in principle to a deal with OT Mitchell Schwartz.

  • Adam Schefter reports that Schwartz is finalizing a five-year deal with K.C.

The Browns reported pulled their contract offer to Schwartz earlier in the day, which signaled an end to his time with the team.

Schwartz, 26, was taken in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. After playing out his rookie contract, Schwartz was in position to cash in as one of the best available offensive tackles in this year’s market.

In 2015, Schwartz appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 6 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.

  1. Hahahahaha, poor Chiefs pick up Mitchel “screen door” Schwartz. No contract from CLE because no good period. Three injured starters this year in “C” Town Hmmmmm! Good luck, I hope you have good backup’s.
