Chiefs Sign QB Tyler Bray To A Two-Year Extension

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Chiefs have signed reserve QB Tyler Bray to a two-year contract extension that will keep him under team control through the 2017 season.

  • According to Yates, the total value of Bray’s new deal is $1.925 million, but includes no guaranteed money.
  • Yates adds that the Chiefs have agreed to pay his full salary of $510,000 for 2015 while he is on NFI list.

Bray, 23, was once a highly touted a quarterback prospect at Tennessee, but he really struggled in his final college season, which led to him going undrafted.

He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.485 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $585,000 for the 2015 season.

Unfortunately, Bray suffered a torn ACL, which led to the team placing him on the NFI list.

Bray has yet to appear in an NFL game.
