Chiefs Sign Second-Round DL Chris Jones To A Four-Year Deal

Pro Football Talk reports that the Chiefs have signed second-round pick DL Chris Jones to a four-year contract on Thursday.

Jones, 21, was selected with the No. 37 overall pick  by Kansas City last week. Jones was mentioned as a potential first-round pick in many mock drafts, but the Chiefs managed to get him in round two, and should have a solid young defensive lineman to add to the middle of their defense.

According to OverTheCap.com, Jones receives a four-year contract worth up to $6,231,240 and includes a $2.731 million signing bonus.

During his three years at Mississippi State, Jones recorded 94 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, and 10 pass defenses.
