Chiefs Sign Three, Cut Three

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve signed RB Algernon Brown, WR Josh Crockett, and OT Bentley Spain to contracts and waived G Kaleb Johnson, DB Malik Reaves, and RB J.D. Moore.

Johnson, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2015. He lasted less than a year in Baltimore before he was waived and later claimed by the Browns.

Cleveland brought Johnson back on an exclusive rights contract for the 2016 season only to waive him coming out of the preseason. After a stint with the Cardinals, the Chiefs signed Johnson to their practice squad last December and brought him back on a futures contract this past January.

Johnson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
