Chiefs Signing S Jimmy Wilson To A One-Year Deal

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Chiefs are signings S Jimmy Wilson to a one-year contract on Friday.

Kansas City could use some depth in their secondary now that Tyvon Branch has departed for the Cardinals and Husain Abdullah announced that he’s retiring from the NFL.

Wilson, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Dolphins before signing a two-year $4.85 million contractwith the Chargers in March of last year.

However, the Chargers elected to cut Wilson in December.

In 2015, appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 44 tackles, one sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
