Chiefs Signing WR Rod Streater To A One-Year Deal

Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports that the Chiefs are signing WR Rod Streater to a contract.

  • Adam Schefter confirms the news and adds that Streater receives a one-year deal worth up to $4.8 million from the Chiefs.

Streater wound up visiting with the Jets on Friday and reportedly met with the Patriots earlier in the week before meeting with the Chiefs Saturday.

Kansas City has been looking for receiver help for a few years now, so it will be interesting to see if Streater is able to solid a decent role in their offense.

Streater, 28, wound up signing on with the Raiders as undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2012. He’s spent all four of his years of his NFL career with the Raiders before testing the market for the first time this week.

In 2015, Streater appeared in one game and recorded a single reception for eight yards receiving and no touchdowns.
