Chiefs Starting Ricky Stanzi?

Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star tweets that Chiefs interim head coach Romeo Crennel hasn’t ruled out the possiblilty that  rookie QB Ricky Stanzi could be under center for the team against the Green Bay Packers this weekend.

Tyler Palko was done very little to prove that he’s a capable starting quarterback in the NFL so it’s hard to see the downside in starting Stanzi at this point. If Stanzi is able to run the teams offense during practice it could give them a bit of an advantage over Palko as there’s really no quality game tape of Stanzi available.

Crennel has done a great job with the teams defense this year and is a deserving candidate for the teams head coaching vacancy.
