Chiefs TE Demetrius Harris Suspended One Game

ChiefsĀ TE Demetrius Harris has been suspended for one game by the NFL for a violating the league’s substances of abuse policy, according to Adam Teicher.

Harris recently pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana in Bates County, Mo stemmingĀ from an arrest back in March 2017.

Harris, 26, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of UW-Milwaukee back in 2014. He signed a three-year, $6.3 million contract with the Chiefs back in 2016 and he’s set to make a base salary of $1.75 million for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Harris appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and caught 18 passes for 224 yards receiving and one touchdown.
