Chiefs To Sign DL Nick Williams Off Steelers’ Practice Squad

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Chiefs are expected to sign DL Nick Williams off of the Steelers’ practice squad on Monday.

  • According to Rapoport, Kansas City has had their eye on Williams all season.

Williams, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Steelers from last year. He unfortunately spent his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list after he suffered a knee injury.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game, but figures to chance if the Chiefs sign him to their active roster.

In his final year at Samford, Williams recorded 31 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, six sacks, and a blocked kick while starting all eleven games.
