Chiefs Tried Out OLB Cam Johnson

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Chiefs tried out OLB Cam Johnson on Friday.

Johnson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2012. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster in his rookie season, but later signed to their practice squad.

San Francisco wound up sending him to the Colts in return for 2015 conditional seventh-round pick that became Geoff Swaim.

Indianapolis elected to re-sign Johnson to an exclusive rights tender back in March before waiving him as they cut their roster down to 75 players.
