Chiefs Veteran LB Josh Mauga Out For Season With Labral Tear

The Kansas City Chiefs lost veteran LB Josh Mauga for the season on Tuesday, due to a labral tear, per Terez A. Paylor.

You can expect the Chiefs to place Mauga on injured reserve in the coming days, as they get down to 75 players today, and 53 soon after.

Mauga, 29, is in the second year of his three-year, $8.25 million contract that includes $2.25 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $1.55 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Mauga recorded 58 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and three pass defenses for the Chiefs.
