Chiefs Worked Out 5 Players Including DE Lynden Trail & LB Deion Barnes

According to Nick Underhill, the Chiefs worked out five players on Tuesday including LB Deion Barnes, LB Randell Johnson, LB Kyle Kragen, DE Kendall Reyes, and DE Lynden Trail.

  • Kansas City signed Reyes to a contract on Tuesday. (NFLTR)

Trail, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Norfolk State back in May of last year. He wound up being waived coming out of the preseason with an injury designation and was later cut with an injury settlement.

The Redskins signed him to their practice squad midseason and later brought him back on a future/reserve contract. After once again being a final roster cut, the Redskins signed him to their practice squad. The Rams just signed him to a contract back in September but waived him to make room for DB Isaiah Johnson.

Trail has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Barnes, 23, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State. He was unfortunately among the Jets’ final roster cuts last year but was later added to their practice squad. New York elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January.

However, Barnes was once again waived as the Jets cut their roster down to 75 players.

Barnes has yet to appear during an NFL game.
