Chiefs Signing RB Ray Lawry

The Kansas City Chiefs are signing RB Ray Lawry to a contract on Monday after he completed a successful tryout, according to Terez A. Paylor.

The Chiefs also worked out RB Darius Victor.

Victor, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Towson a back in May of last year and took part in the Jets and Saints’ minicamps but wasn’t signed to a contract afterward.

The Saints eventually signed him to three-year, $1.66 million contract last summer but he was cut loose this coming out of the preseason and sat out the 2017 season.

During his college career, Victor rushed for 3,144 yards on 588 yards (5.35 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 138 yards receiving and 37 total touchdowns.

Lawry, 21, wound up signing on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of out of Old Dominion back in May. He signed a three-year contract worth $1.71 million with Cincinnati but was waived a few days ago.

During his four-year college career, Lawry rushed for 4,080 yards on 659 carries (6.2 YPC) to go along with 60 receptions for 496 yards receiving and 48 total touchdowns over the course of 43 games.
