ESPN’s Chris Russell reports that team sources has informed him that the Chris Cooley has “most likely” played his final game for the Washington Redskins.
Cooley was placed on season-ending injured reserve yesterday because of multiple injuries that he’s dealing with. The team is on the hook for $3.8 million of Cooley’s 2012 salary but the emergence of Fred Davis has basically made him expendable at this point. Cooley has battled injuries throughout the last few years which will likely have an impact on the interest from other teams. Cooley will turn 30 next year so he may only have one more shot in the NFL.
