Cliff Avril Ends Holdout, Reports To Camp

Lions Insider Tim Twentyman reports that Lions defensive end Cliff Avril arrived to training camp this Sunday morning after missing a week of practice with the team.

Avril, who was designated as the team’s franchise player, was not happy with his one year deal, but appears to have finally caved in and signed his one-year, franchise tender worth $10.605 million.

The 27-year-old will more than likely test the unrestricted free agency  next spring after this season, in which many believe, will be his last with Detroit. We have Avril listed as the No. 1 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
