Lions DE Cliff Avril will not be attending this week’s minicamp, as he’s still looking for a long-term agreement from the team.
“It’s mandatory if you’re signed,” Avril said Monday, via the Associated Press.
The two sides will have until July 16th to workout a long-term contract extension, but the Lions have mentioned that they’ve already made him a fair offer. His franchise tender will pay him $10.6 million for the upcoming season.
